With all the talk of the "octomom" in recent days, the question has arisen, "is marriage necessary?" Drawing from K-House News, the following article tells the "other side of the story"...

A woman in California just gave birth to octuplets, an amazing and wonderful accomplishment. The problem? There's no father, not for these eight nor the six children the woman already has. When Gloria Steinem said that a woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle, she voiced a feminist sentiment that would successfully unhinge the family in America and sentence millions of children to fatherlessness.
Now that the power has shifted in the White House, the feminists are filled with vim and vigor, working hard to get their goals accomplished in Congress. The National Organization for Women (NOW) has a long wish list of items to undo all the conservative pro-family work that has been done during the past 15 years. For instance, NOW wants ten billion tax dollars dedicated to public daycare, to make sure the kids grow up without Mommy too. They also want to stop funding pro-marriage and fatherhood programs, halt abstinence education in schools, and get Congress to pass the Freedom Of Choice Act, which would undo all pro-life legislation, from parental notification to the partial-birth abortion ban, in one single massive whack. The list goes on and on.
The Feminists are not alone in their efforts to destroy the Family in America. Normal Americans, who still like the idea of Mom Dad and Kids, have allowed destructive ideas into their world views, and have been digging their own marital graves without really meaning to.
Some call it "living together" or "cohabitating", others call it "shacking up." Yet no matter what terminology is used the fact remains that a rising number of couples are choosing not to get married. According to the US Census, the number of cohabiting couples in 2000 was ten times that in 1960. "In some sense, cohabitation is replacing dating," says Pamela Smock, an associate professor of sociology at the University of Michigan.
In recent years societal trends have moved away from traditional marriage. In 2005, the number of married couple households in America dropped below 50 percent for the first time. Correspondingly, the number of unmarried women bearing children rose to its highest level ever. Compare that to 1930, when about 84 percent of households were married couples.
Many young adults think it's a good idea to live together to "test drive" a potential spouse in order to insure that they are "compatible." While such logic may seem practical to some, statistics show that such relationships usually end in tears and heartache. While some of these couples intend to eventually get married, the reality is that cohabiting couples break up far more than married couples, and couples who cohabit before marriage are more likely to get divorced after marriage. Research conducted by Rutgers University's National Marriage Project indicates that couples who live together before marriage are 46 percent more likely to divorce and significantly more likely to experience domestic violence within their relationships.
The Word of God is clear: "Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge (Hebrews 13:4)." The Bible expressly condemns fornication (1Cor 6:9,18) and there are great reasons why. Sex is a physical, emotional and spiritual act of two people becoming one (Matt 19:5-6, 1 Cor 6:15-16). Any relationship will have a better start if both spouses are free of vast amounts of baggage from previous broken relationships. Besides the risk of disease, of children born out of wedlock, and other complications, it is simply spiritually and emotionally damaging to engage in a series (long or short) of sexual relationships. Waiting until marriage also involves practicing self-control, which is just as useful a virtue in the years after the wedding as it is before. Couples who have proven self-control also tend to trust and respect one another more than those who were sexually active before the wedding date.
In the scriptures husbands are exhorted to love their wives "even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it." In other words, a Biblical marriage is one rooted in God's love rather than human love. C.S. Lewis calls this kind of love a "gift of love." Whereas, human love is a "need love." God's love is a gift because there are "no strings attached" to it. There are no conditions to fill, nothing to earn, nothing to do, and nothing to be. It just loves unconditionally, spontaneously, and continually.
Marriage is one of God's greatest inventions, offering us partners in the battle through life, to encourage us in times of discouragement, to help us up when we fall. Marriage offers us a constant friend and companion, a second head in trying to solve problems and a second set of hands in doing the work that needs to be done. Marriage is the foundational structure of a whole, happy family, where children can be raised in security and love.
If all marriages looked the way that God intended them to look, the Gloria Steinems of the world would never have been given a megaphone. To save marriage, we need to give the world something better, something desirable. We need to show the world that God's way is what we all dreamed marriage could be.

Happy Birthday Mr. Lincoln
Good morning...our 44th President likes to compare himself with Abraham Lincoln...on February 12, we marked the 200th anniversary of Lincoln's birth...the following is a great and timely article from K-House News to mark the event:
On February 12, 1809, Abraham Lincoln was born in a one-room cabin in Kentucky. On the 200th anniversary of his birth, we remember the lanky self-taught lawyer who hated slavery, who pressed forward until he finally attained the highest office in the country – just in time for the bloodiest war in US history. But, even more, we remember the greatness of that man who loved true liberty, who dreamed in his day "of a place and time where America will once again be seen as the last, best hope on earth."
There are many things that can be said about Abraham Lincoln. He lost his mother when he was nine, and two of his four sons died before he did. He stood at the helm of America while it was torn in two, and he not only protected the Union, but managed to emancipate the slaves in the process. Yet, it was not just his humble beginnings or his ability to overcome personal tragedy that made Lincoln remarkable. Nor did the abolition of slavery or the survival of the United States alone make him a great man. Abraham Lincoln was a great man because of what he believed in and what he stood for. He was not only about the business of preserving a collection of states under one federal government. He was a man determined to protect America to be the haven for true liberty that that Founders intended it to be.
In his 1861 address at Independence Hall, which he described as, "a wholly unprepared speech" Lincoln said the following:
"I have never had a feeling politically that did not spring from the sentiments embodied in the Declaration of Independence. I have often pondered over the dangers which were incurred by the men who assembled here, and framed and adopted that Declaration of Independence. I have pondered over the toils that were endured by the officers and soldiers of the army who achieved that Independence. I have often inquired of myself what great principle or idea it was that kept this Confederacy so long together.
"It was not the mere matter of the separation of the Colonies from the motherland; but that sentiment in the Declaration of Independence which gave liberty, not alone to the people of this country, but, I hope, to the world, for all future time. It was that which gave promise that in due time the weight would be lifted from the shoulders of all men. This is the sentiment embodied in that Declaration of Independence."
Lincoln loved liberty. He loved true liberty in its good old-fashioned sense. Today the concept of liberty has been kidnapped, and the word has become a euphemism for humans to do whatever they like without legal repercussions. Liberty does not mean a blank check for immorality. True liberty is lifting "the weight" of tyranny, freeing men to govern themselves and take responsibility for themselves as men and not as slaves. The freedom of the black man was representative of the very freedom that all Americans embraced in the Declaration of Independence. No longer would they be called "boy" - told what to do and how to do it. They would henceforth be men, fully responsible for their own lives. That's true liberty.
It is the same with spiritual liberty. By the blood of Jesus Christ and through the power of the Holy Spirit working in us, we are no longer slaves to sin. In fact, we are no longer under the letter of the Law. Yet, our freedom is one in which we serve God in holiness out of love, pushing closer to the heart of God than the Law could ever lead us. It is never a freedom that condones license to sin, but one in which we walk with God as sons and daughters.
"Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." -2 Corinthians 3:17
"For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another." -Galatians 5:13
But liberty is never free. It always comes with a price. In the case of our spiritual liberty, the only begotten Son of God was slaughtered on a Roman cross to win our freedom. In the case of America, our freedom was also bought with the blood of our forefathers. And it is now protected only with vigilance.
Our precious liberty is in danger of being taken away. Men (and women) who have abused their freedoms have brought financial destruction on the nation and the entire world. Men (and women) who have abused their social freedoms have torn apart the family, brought children into single family homes, and have spread disease, violence, substance abuse and crime. As we have replaced liberty with license, proving ourselves children instead of men, our government has stepped in to hold our hands; we're in serious danger of losing the very freedoms we love.
We are in the midst of another great civil war. This time it's a war of ideas and of values. It's a war that threatens to destroy us just as certainly as the war Lincoln faced nearly 150 years ago. His words from the Gettysburg Address seem just as fitting now as they were then:
"Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live…The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here.
"It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us -- that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion -- that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain -- that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom -- and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."
That says it.

A Religion of Peace?
Good Morning...Islam is, by all accounts, said to be a religion with "good" muslims and "bad " muslims, but that overall, they want peace like everyone else. The fact is, Muslims define peace differently than you or I. Bill Keller writes the following:

Man beheads his wife. Muzzammil Hassan, 44 of Buffalo, New York, began a TV network in 2004 to counter negative Muslim stereotypes. Hassan is now in jail, charged with second-degree murder in the death of his 37-year-old wife, Aasiya Zubair Hassan, days after she filed for divorce and was granted a restraining order against him. In the world of Islam, Hassan's decapitating his wife is actually viewed as an honor killing. Here is what I want you to hear today. This man is not some crazed terrorist. He was never viewed as some radical with ties to terror organizations. The fact is,he is simply a normal Muslim man who followed the teachings of his religion of hate and death!
So you still think Islam is a "religion of peace?" Even before 9/11, I have tried my best to warn people about the false religion of Islam. Islam is a false religion dreamed up by a Mecca businessman named Muhammed 1400 years ago that has been spread from day one by hatred and death and has led the souls of those who followed its lies to the eternal flames of hell. It is the fastest growing religion in the world with nearly 2 billion people on the planet following the teachings of the Qu'ran, the book of fables Muhammed inspired that makes up the theology of this false religion. While Muslims like to claim they are a religion of love and peace, their teachings and actions over 1400 years continually prove they are about hatred and
death.
Of course there will be Muslim apologists who say that these are only the
extremists, just like they try to distance themselves from their brothers in
this "peaceful religion" who flew the planes into the World Trade Center,
the Pentagon, and the one intended for the Capital building that was crashed
in a Pennsylvania field by some real American heroes. Do you remember a few years ago when there was a cartoon in a Dutch newspaper depicting Muhammed with a bomb in his headdress? There were riots and people were actually killed over a CARTOON! Remember a year or so ago when Pope Benedict simply shared the historical fact that Islam was spread by violence and death and the Catholic churches that were burned down and the nuns killed by Muslims protesting his statements?
Do you remember the Islamic activist group CAIR that has ties to terrorist
groups and operates in this country as an "advocacy group" for Muslims, and
their 4 year campaign to take the Liveprayer TV program off this air for
simply having the audacity to tell the truth about their false religion?
After 1,175 programs and 4 1/2 yrs on the air, the gutless executives at CBS
who owned the station we had broadcast on in Tampa since March of 2003
finally caved in to the intimidation and fear of this group. Over the years
they had been successful in silencing other media personalities from saying
anything negative about Islam, and I am certain, emboldened by their
intimidation of CBS, is now doing all they can to take radio talk show host
Michael Savage off the air.
These people are not about love or peace or unity. They are about one thing.
Converting the world to their false religion and those who get in their way
or who refuse to follow their lies will be silenced and killed. The word
"Islam" literally means "submission." Maybe you don't understand what it
means when their "holy book" says "death to all infidels." An "infidel" by
their definition is anyone who has not converted to their false beliefs.
This is their book. These are their teachings. THIS IS WHAT ALL MUSLIMS
BELIEVE!
That is why I was stunned the other day when I came across an article about
many high profile Christian leaders who are forming some sort of alliance
with top Muslim leaders. Jim Wallis, president of Sojourners, Leith
Anderson, president of the National Association of Evangelicals, Pastors
Rick Warren of Saddleback and Bill Hybles of Willow Creek, and Robert E.
Cooley, president emeritus of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, are just
a few of the prominent Christians who have signed a letter issued by the
Yale Center for Faith and Culture as a response to a letter signed last
month by 138 representative Muslim leaders calling on the two Abrahamic
faiths to love God and neighbors together.
Sounds nice doesn't it? These Muslim clerics are not looking for love and
peace, only mainstream acceptance! The very teachings of their false
religion doesn't call for this type of peace, only the DEATH of those who
refuse to convert to their lies. I know these high profile Christians can't
be that stupid, so there has to be some other motivation. Sadly, I have
documented for you in the past the key leaders who sold out in the 80s to
Moon's Unification Cult to give that lie from hell mainstream acceptance.
Now, we have several very high profile prominent Christian leaders getting
in bed with Muslim leaders!
Don't these people read the Bible? The Bible says MUCH about who we
associate with, about avoiding being associated with the wrong people. In Numbers 33:55, God warned Israel that bad associations would be a continual
thorn in their side. In Exodus 34:12 and Ezra 9:14, Israel was specifically
forbidden to develop relationships with ungodly nations. You can go all
throughout the Bible and read God's warnings and what He says about the type of relationships we enter into and those we associate with. That is why
these ecumenical movements that seek to bring all the false religions and
faiths of the world together as one is such a damnable lie. It is so
damnable, in the final days there will be a One World Religion that all will
be forced to be part of.
Some have asked what is wrong with being part of these groups with the false
religions and cults of the world. Simple! THERE IS ONLY ONE TRUTH, THE TRUTH OF THE BIBLE. What is required when you enter into any of these ecumenical groups is that you lay aside the absolutes of the Bible. IT IS CALLED COMPROMISE, SOMETHING I HAVE PREACHED ON CONTINUALLY FOR 2 DECADES! IT IS COMPROMISE THAT HAS MADE THE CHURCH SO WEAK AND INEFFECTIVE. IT IS COMPROMISE THAT HAS ALLOWED SOME CHURCHES TO ACCEPT AND CONDONE SINS LIKE HOMOSEXUALITY AND ABORTION. IT IS COMPRISE THAT HAS CAUSED CHURCHES TO STOP BELIEVING AND TEACHING THAT THE BIBLE IS THE INSPIRED INERRANT WORD OF GOD, REPRESENTING ABSOLUTE TRUTH AND OUR FINAL AUTHORITY IN ALL MATTERS.
IT IS COMPROMISE THAT ALLOWS MEN AND WOMEN OF GOD TO ASSOCIATE WITH THOSE WHO FOLLOW RELIGIONS AND FAITHS IN COMPLETE REBELLION TO GOD, HIS TRUTH, AND HIS SON JESUS!!!
I can only pray as I continue to sound this trump of warning that people will wake up. I cringe every time I hear people like President Obama state that Islam is a "religion of peace." ISLAM HAS NEVER BEEN ABOUT PEACE, ONLY DEATH! I have shared with you earlier this year how I felt that Islam would be the United States Babylon if we didn't turn back to God and His Truth. As I watch what is happening in this nation I firmly believe that now even more than when the Holy Spirit led me to write that special message. Recently, a Muslim nation bought a 5% stake in Citicorp. The energy requirements of this nation are still tied almost exclusively to the oil we get out of Muslim nations. Muslims who have come to the United States have refused to assimilate into the American way of life, instead, are doing all they can to force Americans to assimilate into their way of life. Also, please don't buy this political correct lie that their are "good
Muslims" and "bad Muslims." By their own definition, a good Muslim is one
who follows the Qu'ran and the teachings of Islam without question or
deviation. The goal of Islam is to convert the world to their false
religion, and if you don't think they want to turn the United States into a
Muslim nation, you have been sound asleep. The sad thing is, this has only
happened because the church has quit being the church. Christians have taken
themselves out of the marketplace and are hiding in the safety and
profitability of the "Christian trough." Sadly, many of those who have
ventured into the marketplace have compromised the Gospel by entering into
unholy alliances with cults like the Mormons and false religions like Islam.
If there was ever a time for the true followers of Christ to rise up it is
now. Jesus is coming at any moment, the final days of human history are
unfolding, and it is time to take our stand for Him and His Truth and help
bring in that last great harvest of souls. The "allah" of Islam is NOT the
God of the Bible, but an imaginary, murderous deity, a stone moon rock
housed in the Kabba in Mecca. The Qu'ran is not a holy book, but a book of
fables that calls for the death of all who refuse to follow its lies. Islam
is NOT a religion of peace, but one of death. The only true peace there is
comes from the Prince of Peace Himself, Jesus, the One who overcomes death
and promises those who follow Him life, and life everlasting!

a few of the prominent Christians who have signed a letter issued by the
Yale Center for Faith and Culture as a response to a letter signed last
month by 138 representative Muslim leaders calling on the two Abrahamic
faiths to love God and neighbors together.
Sounds nice doesn't it? These Muslim clerics are not looking for love and
peace, only mainstream acceptance! The very teachings of their false
religion doesn't call for this type of peace, only the DEATH of those who
refuse to convert to their lies. I know these high profile Christians can't
be that stupid, so there has to be some other motivation. Sadly, I have
documented for you in the past the key leaders who sold out in the 80s to
Moon's Unification Cult to give that lie from hell mainstream acceptance.
Now, we have several very high profile prominent Christian leaders getting
in bed with Muslim leaders!
Don't these people read the Bible? The Bible says MUCH about who we
associate with, about avoiding being associated with the wrong people. In Numbers 33:55, God warned Israel that bad associations would be a continual
thorn in their side. In Exodus 34:12 and Ezra 9:14, Israel was specifically
forbidden to develop relationships with ungodly nations. You can go all
throughout the Bible and read God's warnings and what He says about the type of relationships we enter into and those we associate with. That is why
these ecumenical movements that seek to bring all the false religions and
faiths of the world together as one is such a damnable lie. It is so
damnable, in the final days there will be a One World Religion that all will
be forced to be part of.
Some have asked what is wrong with being part of these groups with the false
religions and cults of the world. Simple! THERE IS ONLY ONE TRUTH, THE TRUTH OF THE BIBLE. What is required when you enter into any of these ecumenical groups is that you lay aside the absolutes of the Bible. IT IS CALLED COMPROMISE, SOMETHING I HAVE PREACHED ON CONTINUALLY FOR 2 DECADES! IT IS COMPROMISE THAT HAS MADE THE CHURCH SO WEAK AND INEFFECTIVE. IT IS COMPROMISE THAT HAS ALLOWED SOME CHURCHES TO ACCEPT AND CONDONE SINS LIKE HOMOSEXUALITY AND ABORTION. IT IS COMPRISE THAT HAS CAUSED CHURCHES TO STOP BELIEVING AND TEACHING THAT THE BIBLE IS THE INSPIRED INERRANT WORD OF GOD, REPRESENTING ABSOLUTE TRUTH AND OUR FINAL AUTHORITY IN ALL MATTERS.
IT IS COMPROMISE THAT ALLOWS MEN AND WOMEN OF GOD TO ASSOCIATE WITH THOSE WHO FOLLOW RELIGIONS AND FAITHS IN COMPLETE REBELLION TO GOD, HIS TRUTH, AND HIS SON JESUS!!!
I can only pray as I continue to sound this trump of warning that people will wake up. I cringe every time I hear people like President Obama state that Islam is a "religion of peace." ISLAM HAS NEVER BEEN ABOUT PEACE, ONLY DEATH! I have shared with you earlier this year how I felt that Islam would be the United States Babylon if we didn't turn back to God and His Truth. As I watch what is happening in this nation I firmly believe that now even more than when the Holy Spirit led me to write that special message. Recently, a Muslim nation bought a 5% stake in Citicorp. The energy requirements of this nation are still tied almost exclusively to the oil we get out of Muslim nations. Muslims who have come to the United States have refused to assimilate into the American way of life, instead, are doing all they can to force Americans to assimilate into their way of life. Also, please don't buy this political correct lie that their are "good
Muslims" and "bad Muslims." By their own definition, a good Muslim is one
who follows the Qu'ran and the teachings of Islam without question or
deviation. The goal of Islam is to convert the world to their false
religion, and if you don't think they want to turn the United States into a
Muslim nation, you have been sound asleep. The sad thing is, this has only
happened because the church has quit being the church. Christians have taken
themselves out of the marketplace and are hiding in the safety and
profitability of the "Christian trough." Sadly, many of those who have
ventured into the marketplace have compromised the Gospel by entering into
unholy alliances with cults like the Mormons and false religions like Islam.
If there was ever a time for the true followers of Christ to rise up it is
now. Jesus is coming at any moment, the final days of human history are
unfolding, and it is time to take our stand for Him and His Truth and help
bring in that last great harvest of souls. The "allah" of Islam is NOT the
God of the Bible, but an imaginary, murderous deity, a stone moon rock
housed in the Kabba in Mecca. The Qu'ran is not a holy book, but a book of
fables that calls for the death of all who refuse to follow its lies. Islam
is NOT a religion of peace, but one of death. The only true peace there is
comes from the Prince of Peace Himself, Jesus, the One who overcomes death

Russia Helps Iran Forge Nuclear Sword

United Nations officials said Thursday, February 19, that Iran now has enough enriched uranium to produce one nuclear bomb. This revelation comes just as the Obama Administration is drawing up its policy on negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program.
“It appears that Iran has walked right up to the threshold of having enough low enriched uranium to provide enough raw material for a single bomb,” said Peter Zimmerman, a former chief scientist of the US Arms Control and Disarmament Agency.
The new figures come in a report from the International Atomic Energy Agency, the UN’s nuclear watchdog, released on Thursday. This revealed that Iran’s production of low enriched uranium had previously been underestimated.
When the agency carried out an annual stocktaking of Natanz in mid-November, Iran had produced 839kg of low enriched uranium hexafluoride – more than 200kg more than previously thought. Tehran produced an additional 171kg by the end of January.
“It’s sure certain that if they didn’t have it [enough] when the IAEA took these measurements, they will have it in a matter of weeks,” Mr. Zimmerman said (“Iran holds enough uranium for bomb,” Daniel Dombey, Washington, http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/f367aada-fec8-11dd-b19a-000077b07658.html).
Experts say Iran has now reached the point it has enough fissile material to build a bomb in just a matter of months. This is a red line that Israel has previously said it could not allow Iran to cross.
The Middle East continues to be perched on the cusp of action that diplomats around the world fear could be a trigger to the first unleashing of atomic warfare since the end of World War II when America bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has declared on numerous occasions that he intends to wipe Israel from the face of the Middle East. This isn’t just the raving of a mad dictator. Ahmadinejad is a deeply committed Muslim of the most radical sort who believes that bringing on Armageddon will cause the twelfth Imam, the Islamic version of the Messiah, to come forth and install Islam as the one religion on earth. This action can only take place when Israel and the “great Satan,” America, are removed from the planet, so the ravings go. The likelihood of Binyamin Netanyahu becoming Israel’s next prime minister sets the international community’s collective teeth on edge even more, the right wing leader of Likud having vowed to do whatever is necessary to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon.
Russia is complicit in the apocalyptic scheme of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and others who take the Koran at its horrific, literal worst. This does not surprise the student of Bible prophecy who reads God’s Word literally when studying prophecy yet future.
It is clear in reading the Gog-Magog invasion account in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39 that Russia–Rosh—will be at the forefront of taking the Israel-hating coalition down over the “mountains of Israel.” Though Gog, the Russian leader, will have much different “spoil” (KJV) in mind than will the Islamics such as Persia (Iran), the amalgamation of people who intend to wipe Israel from the Middle East map will be driven by the same master as the nations from the West who will send a diplomatic note of protest. Antichrist’s budding regime will crave the one place on earth that is the center of God’s dealing with mankind.
I believe that while Gog will want primarily the oil fields of the Middle East in order to procure exclusively all oil of the region, the Islamics will be driven by ancient hatreds stemming back to the rift between Ishmael and Isaac, between Esau and Jacob. Antichrist will want Mt. Moriah and the very spot where the Ark of the Covenant sat within the Holy of Holies. It all makes for a quite volatile mixture that we can see beginning to form in our headlines today.
To begin this course of luciferian action, Russia and Iran must collude to develop a sphere of influence in the region. Russia has been hard at work in making the most of forming alliances in areas north of Israel. Particularly, that prophetic nation has been working to help Iran’s nuclear program come to fruition.

Iran has relied on Russian military assistance in the past and hopes to continue doing so, Mostafa Mohammed Najjar said…
Najjar wouldn’t elaborate on what specific weapons Iran was seeking. He met with his Russian counterpart and toured some Russians weapons plants during his five-day visit that began Monday…
Russia also has supplied weapons to Iran, including Tor-M1 air-defense missiles, despite U.S. and Israeli complaints. However, Russian officials have rejected claims that they have provided Iran with more powerful, long-range S-300 air defense missile systems.

One of our forum members summed up the Barack Obama Experience so far this way: "We're stuck in front of a runaway train with no way to escape."
I couldn't have said it better myself. There is a sense of inevitability about it all, like watching two trains approaching one another on the same track. There's nothing you can do but watch the wreck happen.
I caught Glenn Beck's show yesterday and his guest was a guy by the name of Gerald Celente.
Celente claims at his website to have predicted the rise of gourmet coffee, the boom in bottled water, the collapse of the Soviet Union, the last two recessions, the dot-com meltdown, the Crash of '87, the Asian currency collapse of '97 and the war on terror.
Pretty impressive track record, even if one takes into account the fact this is Gerald Celente evaluating Gerald Celente. Again, from his website:
"The proof is in his past — Gerald Celente has earned his reputation as "The most trusted name in trends" by accurately forecasting hundreds of social, business, consumer, environmental, economic, political, entertainment, technology trends, etc."
That's fair enough. So, what does Celente (who says he forecast the Crash of '08), forecast for '09? The Collapse of '09.
"We're going to start seeing the retail sector collapse . . . a lot a empty stores, at lot of vacancies. Also the commercial sector of real estate. . ."
On the viability of the economic stimulus package . . ."You can't spend your way out of problems. You have to produce your way out of problems. This isn't even Economics 101 -- this is Economics for Dummies. You can't print money based on nothing and expect it to fix the problems."
The news gets worse. Celente predicted we are entering the greatest depression in American history. Celente listed the reasons why this depression would be worse, (mainly the explosion in personal debt and trade deficits).
The rest of the segment was largely about who predicted more catastrophes earlier and how difficult it is to be the bearer of bad news. I was somewhat amused at Beck's assertion that it damaged his career, given he was saying it from the set of "The Glenn Beck Show".
(It reminded me of when Tim Robbins complained from the podium of the Washington National Press Club that his right to free speech was being violated.)
While Celente and Beck were explaining why government can't spend its way out of the current economic crisis, the Senate was passing the nearly $1 trillion 'emergency stimulus' bill.
And Timothy Geitner was announding the Federal Reserve was planning to bypass Congress and spend another $1.2 trillion more.
When Senator Chuck Schumer was asked about that during a 'quicky' interview outside the Senate chambers, Schumer explained that the Fed plan didn't need to go through Congress because it 'wasn't taxpayer money.'
Whose money is it? Suddenly, he had to break off the interview and head back to the Senate. Schumer's reaction typified those on the Left -- it proves (to me, at least) that they recognize this for the swindle that it is.
The look on Schumer's face when asked to elaborate on whose money the Fed was planning to use is the same look I used to see on suspects during interrogations at that moment when they realized they were just caught in a lie.
The runaway train analogy is a good one.
If I were prone to sensationalism and conspiracy theory, I would say that what we are now experiencing is deliberate. But since I'm not prone to such things, I'll just say it is PROBABLY deliberate. Here's why.
For most of the past eight years, even during periods of unbroken and almost unrestricted growth, the Democrats have continued to talk down the economy.
One of the side benefits of writing (or reading) a daily column like the OL is that it makes us a bit more resistant to historical revisionism.
I wrote the following in an Omegaletter that was published on July 25, 2002:
It's pretty transparent, really. This is political, not economic. The fundamentals of the economy are no different now than they were five years ago.Smoke and mirrors and unsustainable growth. Except now somebody has blown away some of the smoke.
The market is also tanking because the politicians have made it a campaign issue, further exposing the 'miracle' as the shell game it is.
If the economy improves, it works for the GOP. If it tanks, it works for the Democrats. In fact, the more it tanks, the better it is for Democratic hopefuls in the November mid-terms.
To accomplish the DNC strategy, your 401K has to go down the tubes and your investments have to dry up and go south.
It either happened that way or it didn't. You tell me. We lived through the last eight years together. And here is HOW it happened.
Again, from Volume 10, Issue 25, July 25, 2002:
The 19th century philosopher Georg Hegel outlined the crisis management dialectic that bears his name.
Hegel concluded that conflict creates history. Therefore, he concludes, history can be shaped by conflict. Hegel concluded that a population can be convinced to work against its own best interests via the application of a logical three stage program.
The Hegelian Dialectic offers a thesis, an antithesis, and resolves the argument between the two with a synthesis, which is presented to avoid a crisis. The crisis is often designed for the purpose of getting acceptance of the synthesis.
Thesis: Americans will blame the incumbent for an economic downturn and vote against the incumbent party.
Antithesis: Identify a connection between the party in power and the market downturn, continuing to talk down the market, talk up corporate fraud and scare small investors out of the stock market.
Synthesis: If enough people pull their money out, the market will head south, jobs will be lost, causing a ripple effect across the lower socio-economic strata [that the Democrats claim as their base] and those injured by the economy will vote for the Democrats.
They'll worry about how to undo the damage they are doing in order to win votes after they accomplish their primary goal. Which is not to help the economy, by the way. It is to get elected.
I am astonished that there is anyone in America that cannot see through this -- but that is the reason everybody quotes Georg Hegel and not Jack Kinsella. Hegel was undoubtedly smarter -- 'cause it works.
This isn't about Jack Kinsella having to bear the ponderous weight of career-smashing doomism that plagues Glenn Beck and Gerald Celente.
The point is that if I could identify the plan in such detail in 2002, then I'm probably not blowing smoke when I say in 2009 that it was deliberate.
(And the sub-point isn't that I'M so smart. It's that the Bible that I rely on is so true that even a donkey like me can use it to make sense of the apparently senseless.)
Although the Democrats tried to shake investor confidence, until they managed to get a majority in Congress in '06, they didn't have the power. Since winning both Houses and the White House, they've revised the dialectic.
The market operates based on investor confidence. If investors are confident they will get a return on their investment, then they will invest. If not, then they will keep their money under a mattress. So if you want investors to invest, you create an atmosphere of confidence.

(During the Great Depression, US unemployment reached 33%. During the 1970's OPEC recession, it hit 10.2%. Right now, it is at 7.2%.)
That's why it seems like a runaway train headed straight for us, rather than, say, a lightning bolt or a meteor strike. This was carefully planned, but somewhat sloppily executed 'crisis', and now it's spiralled out of control.
Is Celente right? Are we on the cusp of a global depression that will make the 1930's pale by comparison? Possibly. But not because of any fundamental changes in the economy.
We are where we are as part of a political plot that we outlined in detail almost seven years ago. This is no accident of history.
If they can right the ship before its too late, then the collapse may be forestalled for a few more years, but the collapse eventually will come regardless, because the Bible predicts economic collapse as part of the overall picture for the last days.
So, is this it? Are we toast? Or can we find, for a change, a little good news in Bible prophecy for the last days? Let's see.
I want you to notice with me, the order in which these things are predicted to unfold. It is a key to understanding the Book that one understands that the Revelation is written in chronological order.
In Revelation Chapter Six, we have the opening of the seven seals and the first seven judgments. The first four seal judgments are represented by the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
First comes the rider on the white horse -- the antichrist. Then after that, the rider on the red horse, War. After that comes the rider on the black horse that brings economic collapse and famine.
This ISN'T the ride of the Rider on the Black Horse that we are witnessing. Not yet. The Seal Judgments are what they are and God didn't number them arbitrarily.
It could well be a setting of the stage for that ride, but if that is true, then the antichrist and global war are just around the corner. Because they HAVE to come first. Each is interdependent upon the seal judgment that comes before.
It is like an equation: antichrist + global war = famine + death.
The antichrist kicks things off by starting the global war that collapses the global economy -- bringing about the death of about a third of the population.
So where's the good news in all of this? The Book of Revelation is written in chronological order. Revelation 1-3 deals with the Churches and the Church Age. Beginning in Revelation 4:1, the perspective of the Church shifts from that of earth to that of heaven.
"After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter." (Revelation 4:1)
To recap, the four horsemen are Antichrist, War, Famine and Death. Each of the seal judgments depends on the one that comes before -- antichrist brings war, which brings famine, which results in death. Those events are ALSO interdependent with an event that takes place concurrently in Heaven.
First, BEFORE the breaking of the first seal (the rider on the white horse) the Bible says this:

Who is redeemed by the Blood of Christ out of every kindred, and tongue and nation? Who did Jesus make kings and priests unto God? Who does the Bible promise will reign with Him?
These promises are unique to the Church. And the Church sings this new song BEFORE the first seal is broken. The seal that brings economic collapse is broken third. And when the Church is singing this new song, it is singing it in Heaven.
The runaway train analogy is EXACTLY the right analogy. The Church is standing on the tracks, transfixed by the oncoming train. And then, as certain doom approaches,
"the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
For THIS reason, as we see the train approaching, Paul says, "Wherefore, comfort one another with these words." (1st Thessalonians 4:16-18)
To the world, that approaching Light looks like an oncoming train. Be comforted. The Engineer's a Friend of ours. He said to watch for it.
And when we saw it BEGIN to start bearing down on us, THAT was when He said would be the time to look up and lift up our heads, for our redemption draweth nigh.

Jack Kinsella - Omega Letter Editor
One of our forum members summed up the Barack Obama Experience so far this way: "We're stuck in front of a runaway train with no way to escape."
I couldn't have said it better myself. There is a sense of inevitability about it all, like watching two trains approaching one another on the same track. There's nothing you can do but watch the wreck happen.
I caught Glenn Beck's show yesterday and his guest was a guy by the name of Gerald Celente.
Celente claims at his website to have predicted the rise of gourmet coffee, the boom in bottled water, the collapse of the Soviet Union, the last two recessions, the dot-com meltdown, the Crash of '87, the Asian currency collapse of '97 and the war on terror.
Pretty impressive track record, even if one takes into account the fact this is Gerald Celente evaluating Gerald Celente. Again, from his website:
"The proof is in his past — Gerald Celente has earned his reputation as "The most trusted name in trends" by accurately forecasting hundreds of social, business, consumer, environmental, economic, political, entertainment, technology trends, etc."
That's fair enough. So, what does Celente (who says he forecast the Crash of '08), forecast for '09? The Collapse of '09.
"We're going to start seeing the retail sector collapse . . . a lot a empty stores, at lot of vacancies. Also the commercial sector of real estate. . ."
On the viability of the economic stimulus package . . ."You can't spend your way out of problems. You have to produce your way out of problems. This isn't even Economics 101 -- this is Economics for Dummies. You can't print money based on nothing and expect it to fix the problems."
The news gets worse. Celente predicted we are entering the greatest depression in American history. Celente listed the reasons why this depression would be worse, (mainly the explosion in personal debt and trade deficits).
The rest of the segment was largely about who predicted more catastrophes earlier and how difficult it is to be the bearer of bad news. I was somewhat amused at Beck's assertion that it damaged his career, given he was saying it from the set of "The Glenn Beck Show".
(It reminded me of when Tim Robbins complained from the podium of the Washington National Press Club that his right to free speech was being violated.)
While Celente and Beck were explaining why government can't spend its way out of the current economic crisis, the Senate was passing the nearly $1 trillion 'emergency stimulus' bill.
And Timothy Geitner was announding the Federal Reserve was planning to bypass Congress and spend another $1.2 trillion more.
When Senator Chuck Schumer was asked about that during a 'quicky' interview outside the Senate chambers, Schumer explained that the Fed plan didn't need to go through Congress because it 'wasn't taxpayer money.'
Whose money is it? Suddenly, he had to break off the interview and head back to the Senate. Schumer's reaction typified those on the Left -- it proves (to me, at least) that they recognize this for the swindle that it is.
The look on Schumer's face when asked to elaborate on whose money the Fed was planning to use is the same look I used to see on suspects during interrogations at that moment when they realized they were just caught in a lie.
The runaway train analogy is a good one.
If I were prone to sensationalism and conspiracy theory, I would say that what we are now experiencing is deliberate. But since I'm not prone to such things, I'll just say it is PROBABLY deliberate. Here's why.
For most of the past eight years, even during periods of unbroken and almost unrestricted growth, the Democrats have continued to talk down the economy.
One of the side benefits of writing (or reading) a daily column like the OL is that it makes us a bit more resistant to historical revisionism.
I wrote the following in an Omegaletter that was published on July 25, 2002:
It's pretty transparent, really. This is political, not economic. The fundamentals of the economy are no different now than they were five years ago.Smoke and mirrors and unsustainable growth. Except now somebody has blown away some of the smoke.
The market is also tanking because the politicians have made it a campaign issue, further exposing the 'miracle' as the shell game it is.
If the economy improves, it works for the GOP. If it tanks, it works for the Democrats. In fact, the more it tanks, the better it is for Democratic hopefuls in the November mid-terms.
To accomplish the DNC strategy, your 401K has to go down the tubes and your investments have to dry up and go south.
It either happened that way or it didn't. You tell me. We lived through the last eight years together. And here is HOW it happened.

The 19th century philosopher Georg Hegel outlined the crisis management dialectic that bears his name.
Hegel concluded that conflict creates history. Therefore, he concludes, history can be shaped by conflict. Hegel concluded that a population can be convinced to work against its own best interests via the application of a logical three stage program.
The Hegelian Dialectic offers a thesis, an antithesis, and resolves the argument between the two with a synthesis, which is presented to avoid a crisis. The crisis is often designed for the purpose of getting acceptance of the synthesis.
Thesis: Americans will blame the incumbent for an economic downturn and vote against the incumbent party.
Antithesis: Identify a connection between the party in power and the market downturn, continuing to talk down the market, talk up corporate fraud and scare small investors out of the stock market.
Synthesis: If enough people pull their money out, the market will head south, jobs will be lost, causing a ripple effect across the lower socio-economic strata [that the Democrats claim as their base] and those injured by the economy will vote for the Democrats.
They'll worry about how to undo the damage they are doing in order to win votes after they accomplish their primary goal. Which is not to help the economy, by the way. It is to get elected.
I am astonished that there is anyone in America that cannot see through this -- but that is the reason everybody quotes Georg Hegel and not Jack Kinsella. Hegel was undoubtedly smarter -- 'cause it works.
This isn't about Jack Kinsella having to bear the ponderous weight of career-smashing doomism that plagues Glenn Beck and Gerald Celente.
The point is that if I could identify the plan in such detail in 2002, then I'm probably not blowing smoke when I say in 2009 that it was deliberate.
(And the sub-point isn't that I'M so smart. It's that the Bible that I rely on is so true that even a donkey like me can use it to make sense of the apparently senseless.)
Although the Democrats tried to shake investor confidence, until they managed to get a majority in Congress in '06, they didn't have the power. Since winning both Houses and the White House, they've revised the dialectic.
The market operates based on investor confidence. If investors are confident they will get a return on their investment, then they will invest. If not, then they will keep their money under a mattress. So if you want investors to invest, you create an atmosphere of confidence.

The economy is "dark, darker, darkest. 650 million Americans lose their jobs every month. " Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi

(During the Great Depression, US unemployment reached 33%. During the 1970's OPEC recession, it hit 10.2%. Right now, it is at 7.2%.)
That's why it seems like a runaway train headed straight for us, rather than, say, a lightning bolt or a meteor strike. This was carefully planned, but somewhat sloppily executed 'crisis', and now it's spiralled out of control.
Is Celente right? Are we on the cusp of a global depression that will make the 1930's pale by comparison? Possibly. But not because of any fundamental changes in the economy.
We are where we are as part of a political plot that we outlined in detail almost seven years ago. This is no accident of history.
If they can right the ship before its too late, then the collapse may be forestalled for a few more years, but the collapse eventually will come regardless, because the Bible predicts economic collapse as part of the overall picture for the last days.
So, is this it? Are we toast? Or can we find, for a change, a little good news in Bible prophecy for the last days? Let's see.
I want you to notice with me, the order in which these things are predicted to unfold. It is a key to understanding the Book that one understands that the Revelation is written in chronological order.
In Revelation Chapter Six, we have the opening of the seven seals and the first seven judgments. The first four seal judgments are represented by the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
First comes the rider on the white horse -- the antichrist. Then after that, the rider on the red horse, War. After that comes the rider on the black horse that brings economic collapse and famine.
This ISN'T the ride of the Rider on the Black Horse that we are witnessing. Not yet. The Seal Judgments are what they are and God didn't number them arbitrarily.
It could well be a setting of the stage for that ride, but if that is true, then the antichrist and global war are just around the corner. Because they HAVE to come first. Each is interdependent upon the seal judgment that comes before.
It is like an equation: antichrist + global war = famine + death.
The antichrist kicks things off by starting the global war that collapses the global economy -- bringing about the death of about a third of the population.
So where's the good news in all of this? The Book of Revelation is written in chronological order. Revelation 1-3 deals with the Churches and the Church Age. Beginning in Revelation 4:1, the perspective of the Church shifts from that of earth to that of heaven.
"After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter." (Revelation 4:1)
To recap, the four horsemen are Antichrist, War, Famine and Death. Each of the seal judgments depends on the one that comes before -- antichrist brings war, which brings famine, which results in death. Those events are ALSO interdependent with an event that takes place concurrently in Heaven.

Family Friendly President?
Good afternoon...well our president, who has been in office for less than 1 month has laready caused many to raise their eyebrows over his family policies...many "christians" voted for this man in spite of dier warnings of his ultra-leftist leanings, his desire to make sure that babies in this country are murdered in the name of choice and that big government was the only answer. In contemporary America, pornography is both a public reality and big business. Ambient pornography -- sexually explicit advertising, entertainment, and merchandising -- is all around us. But pornography is also big business, producing sexually explicit materials in printed, video, and digital formats and making billions of dollars in the process.
The pornography industry has a big stake in defending itself against legal challenges and restrictive laws, and it has been stunningly successful in doing so. One of the leading legal defenders of pornography has been David Ogden, a lawyer who can only be described as a First Amendment extremist, who has even argued against laws against child pornography.
President Barack Obama has nominated David Ogden as Deputy Attorney General of the United States. This nomination is both ominous and dangerous. Given David Ogden's high visibility in defense of pornography, this nomination sends a clear and unmistakable message. The pornography business will have a friend in high office in the Department of Justice.
Writing at ThePublicDiscourse.com, Matthew Schmitz explained:
In addition to making it harder to prosecute those who sell images of child molestation and rape, Ogden has sought to ensure that pornography can be easily distributed and readily accessed in almost any medium or location. He has fought cases in Puerto Rico to allow Playboy to broadcast explicit programming on TV. He represented Philip Harvey, a man who runs the nation’s largest mail-order pornography shop out of North Carolina, in his attempt to deflect a Department of Justice investigation of his business. Completing a sort of multi-media grand slam, Ogden has sued to allow sexually-explicit content to be transmitted over the phone. Taking this quest to its absurd limits, he has even claimed in court that there is a constitutional right for pornography to be kept in firehouses. Ogden’s position is good for the industry groups he has represented but bad for female firefighters who could be subjected to humiliating and harassing images in the workplace. With an equal disregard for the comfort and protection of children, in 2000 Ogden sued to allow pornography to be accessed in public libraries.
In essence, David Ogden has been in the forefront of arguing for the unrestricted sale and distribution of any and all pornography by any and all means - and now he will be in charge of prosecuting those who were his clients and arguing against all that he has argued in the past. Are we to believe that this will have no effect on prosecutions against pornography?
As British philosopher Roger Scruton has noted, David Ogden's extremism in defense of pornography is based in the legal theory that explicit pornography (visual, literary, video, digital) is a form of protected speech under the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. He comments:
The idea that pornography is “speech,” within the meaning of the first amendment, and thereby protected by the Constitution, is so absurd that it is hard for an outsider to see how American judges have been persuaded to accept it again and again. Of course porn is big business, and can afford to keep beating at the doors of the courts. But the real reason for the legalization of pornography in America lies in the culture of the liberal elite and in the strategy of legal activism whereby that elite continues its relentless assault on majority values. Porn has been incorporated into the “culture war” precisely because ordinary Americans see it as a threat to family and religious values. This fact is sufficient to prompt the liberal establishment to add porn to its agenda, as one more thing to be defended in the court against the legislature. Again and again we have seen this process at work, as the values and transgressions of elites are seized upon by the ACLU and similar organizations, rebranded as essential liberties, and defended as constitutional rights, regardless of their subversive effect on society as a whole.
The legal defense David Ogden has presented in defense of the pornography industry is also applied to other arenas of legal activism as well. The spread of the contagion is inevitable.
Pornography is one of the most insidious dimensions of American culture today. It is a plague that is ruining lives, marriages, and public morals. It endangers women, children, and the most vulnerable among us. Putting one who can only be described as an extremist for pornography in such a high position in the Department of Justice -- Deputy Attorney General of the United States -- sends a clear signal at home and around the world. If David Ogden is confirmed, the U.S. Senate becomes a party to this disaster.

We've been counting down to the year that Iran will finally become a nuclear power ever since Iranian dissidents exposed the Iranian nuclear program in 2002. European intelligence estimated it would take Iran until 2012 to achieve this. Israeli intelligence figured late 2007.
Last year's National Intelligence Estimate completely undercut the Bush administration's Iran foreign policy when it estimated Iran was still "many years" from being able to build a bomb.
The NIE predicted: "… with moderate confidence that the earliest possible date Iran would be technically capable of producing enough HEU [highly enriched uranium] for a weapon is late 2009, but that is very unlikely."
Unlikely though it may have been, the International Atomic Energy Agency found that Iran had enriched enough uranium to make its first atomic bomb on Nov. 21, 2008. By now, as it brings new centrifuges online, Tehran may well have enough for a second.
The head of Russia's state nuclear corporation, Sergei Kiriyenko, was quoted from the Kremlin on Wednesday confirming the launch of the Bushehr reactor later this year. Iran's nuclear ambitions are no longer even remotely unclear.
Yet, knowing this, Moscow fully intends to supply Iran with all the nuclear material it needs.
In Gaza, Hamas is claiming victory on the same ground as did Hezbollah in 2006. It survived, and Israel pulled out without meeting all its objectives. Rockets continue to rain down on Israel from Gaza, and Hamas continues to hold Israeli solider Gilad Shalit hostage.
To the north, either out of nervous tension or tactical plan, Hezbollah launched several rockets into Israel. Syrian troops opened fire with small arms on Israeli troops on their side of the border near Sheba Farms. In a couple of days, Israeli voters are likely to return Benjamin Netanyahu to power, which changes the whole equation in the region.
WorldNetDaily reported yesterday of a secret message sent by Netanyahu to Hamas' top leadership saying that if they don't stop the rocket attacks against Israel, he will order the IDF to "wipe them out."
Netanyahu makes three specific promises to voters upon the strength of which he is expected to win. The first is the destruction of Hamas.
The Jerusalem Post quoted Netanyahu speaking from the site of a Grad missile strike in Ashkelon on Monday, saying: "A government under my leadership will overthrow the Hamas rule in Gaza and bring about a cessation of rocket fire," he said. "The policy of blindness followed in the past years has brought us to this situation."
The second is the destruction of Hezbollah and Syrian influence over Lebanon. The third promise is left deliberately vague: "Iran will not be allowed to possess nuclear weapons." Netanyahu doesn't elaborate on exactly how Israel will prevent it. But notice something curious about that. Not many Israelis want him to.
Taking a step back and looking at the Big Picture, it is hard not to miss the fact that events are developing in concert with the ancient prophecies of Scripture.
The Prophet Isaiah foretold the "burden of Damascus" (Isaiah 17:1) in which the prophet predicts the overnight destruction of that great city in the last days: "At evening time, behold there is terror! Before morning they are no more. Such will be the portion of those who plunder us, and the lot of those who pillage us." (Isaiah 17:14)
The Prophet Ezekiel predicts an alliance between Russia and an Islamic confederacy headed by Iran, or Persia.
Hamas continues to attack Israel with rocket attacks for the sheer joy of the violence of it all. Related to this, the Prophet Obadiah pronounced this verdict against Edom, who is one of the forefathers of the people of Hamas, saying, "Because of violence to your brother Jacob, you will be covered with shame, and you will be cut off forever." Interestingly, the word translated as "violence" in this Scripture is the Hebrew word, chamac, pronounced "hamas."
Of all the generations in history, it is to this generation that the prophecies of the last days are addressed. Previous generations looked for the signs given by Scripture, but only this generation can truly see them all come together at one time – which is itself a key fulfillment of prophecy.
The Prophet Daniel predicted these conditions: "And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? And he said, 'Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.'" (Daniel 12:8-9) We are witnessing the "unsealing" of the end-times prophecies.
The same Spirit that inspired the incredible accuracy of the prophets to this point is not likely to suddenly have a misstep. So what does that mean? The Lord of the Universe is getting ready to judge the world. But before that, He will come for His own. Make sure you are one of them.

Unlikely though it may have been, the International Atomic Energy Agency found that Iran had enriched enough uranium to make its first atomic bomb on Nov. 21, 2008. By now, as it brings new centrifuges online, Tehran may well have enough for a second.
The head of Russia's state nuclear corporation, Sergei Kiriyenko, was quoted from the Kremlin on Wednesday confirming the launch of the Bushehr reactor later this year. Iran's nuclear ambitions are no longer even remotely unclear.
Yet, knowing this, Moscow fully intends to supply Iran with all the nuclear material it needs.
In Gaza, Hamas is claiming victory on the same ground as did Hezbollah in 2006. It survived, and Israel pulled out without meeting all its objectives. Rockets continue to rain down on Israel from Gaza, and Hamas continues to hold Israeli solider Gilad Shalit hostage.
To the north, either out of nervous tension or tactical plan, Hezbollah launched several rockets into Israel. Syrian troops opened fire with small arms on Israeli troops on their side of the border near Sheba Farms. In a couple of days, Israeli voters are likely to return Benjamin Netanyahu to power, which changes the whole equation in the region.
WorldNetDaily reported yesterday of a secret message sent by Netanyahu to Hamas' top leadership saying that if they don't stop the rocket attacks against Israel, he will order the IDF to "wipe them out."
Netanyahu makes three specific promises to voters upon the strength of which he is expected to win. The first is the destruction of Hamas.
The Jerusalem Post quoted Netanyahu speaking from the site of a Grad missile strike in Ashkelon on Monday, saying: "A government under my leadership will overthrow the Hamas rule in Gaza and bring about a cessation of rocket fire," he said. "The policy of blindness followed in the past years has brought us to this situation."
The second is the destruction of Hezbollah and Syrian influence over Lebanon. The third promise is left deliberately vague: "Iran will not be allowed to possess nuclear weapons." Netanyahu doesn't elaborate on exactly how Israel will prevent it. But notice something curious about that. Not many Israelis want him to.
Taking a step back and looking at the Big Picture, it is hard not to miss the fact that events are developing in concert with the ancient prophecies of Scripture.
The Prophet Isaiah foretold the "burden of Damascus" (Isaiah 17:1) in which the prophet predicts the overnight destruction of that great city in the last days: "At evening time, behold there is terror! Before morning they are no more. Such will be the portion of those who plunder us, and the lot of those who pillage us." (Isaiah 17:14)
The Prophet Ezekiel predicts an alliance between Russia and an Islamic confederacy headed by Iran, or Persia.
Hamas continues to attack Israel with rocket attacks for the sheer joy of the violence of it all. Related to this, the Prophet Obadiah pronounced this verdict against Edom, who is one of the forefathers of the people of Hamas, saying, "Because of violence to your brother Jacob, you will be covered with shame, and you will be cut off forever." Interestingly, the word translated as "violence" in this Scripture is the Hebrew word, chamac, pronounced "hamas."
Of all the generations in history, it is to this generation that the prophecies of the last days are addressed. Previous generations looked for the signs given by Scripture, but only this generation can truly see them all come together at one time – which is itself a key fulfillment of prophecy.
The Prophet Daniel predicted these conditions: "And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? And he said, 'Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.'" (Daniel 12:8-9) We are witnessing the "unsealing" of the end-times prophecies.
The same Spirit that inspired the incredible accuracy of the prophets to this point is not likely to suddenly have a misstep. So what does that mean? The Lord of the Universe is getting ready to judge the world. But before that, He will come for His own. Make sure you are one of them.

Abortion on Demand and its Consequences

Fla. doctor loses license after botched abortion

The Board of Medicine has revoked the license of a Florida doctor accused of medical malpractice in a botched abortion case in which a live baby was delivered, but ended up dead in a cardboard box.
The board on Friday found Dr. Pierre Jean-Jacque Renelique in violation of Florida statutes by committing medical malpractice, delegating responsibility to unlicensed personnel, and failing to keep an accurate medical record. Renelique and his attorney declined to comment after the hearing.
The Department of Health said Renelique was scheduled to perform an abortion on a teenager who was 23 weeks pregnant in 2006. Sycloria Williams had been given drugs in advance to dilate her cervix.
According to the complaint, she gave birth at a Hialeah clinic after waiting hours for Renelique to arrive. The complaint said one of the clinic owners put the baby in a bag that was thrown away.
Police found the infant's decomposing remains a week later.
A medical examiner determined the cause of death was extreme prematurity, the complaint states.
At Friday's hearing, Renelique told the board of his life-long quest to be a doctor. He said there are generations of physicians in his family, and that he decided to follow the same path after seeing his father treat patients.
Renelique described saving a woman's life during the second year of his medical residency in Haiti. He later left his home country to work and train in the United States. It was never his intention to do abortions, he said.
"That was not part of my goals when I came to Florida," he said. "But I had to do it to survive."
During the board's questioning, Dr. Elizabeth D. Tucker, an obstetrician-gynecologist from Pensacola, asked Renelique about three different types of medical forceps. Renelique replied that he possessed each of the instruments.
After each question, Tucker also held up a metal instrument, different from the one she had named and inquired about. One of the tools was a metal rod with an arrow attached at the tip.
Tucker asked Renelique if he had that. He replied that he did.
"For the record, these are from my antique collection," she said later. "We don't use these in terminations."
Renelique's attorney, Joseph Harrison, later requested that his client view the instruments more closely, which the board allowed. Renelique said he had never seen or used the spear in his life.
Renelique said he had advised the patient to come in early as a precaution, and that when he was en route to the clinic, he was called to tend to another patient having an emergency.
He said the clinic staff members didn't tell him about the delivery when he arrived.
Harrison said Renelique expected the board to uphold the current restriction on his license, which prohibits him from performing abortions unless another physician is present. The Department of Health recommended that his license be suspended. But the board decided to revoke it instead which means he will not be able to practice medicine in Florida.
No criminal charges have been filed in the case, but the state attorney's office is investigating.

New Look!
Hello everyone! Yes, you figured it out! I have changed the look to the blog...I am burdened to be just like my mother because I don't like things to stay the way that they are....some re-arranging now and then is a good thing!
I have recently been conversing with others on the internet and through blogs and I have come to the conclusion that the winds of change have not only been felt through the United States elections of November 2008, but through the church as well...It appears that the generations coming along now, who are marrying and having children, do not hold to the same values as some of the older folks (not senior citizens, mind you!)...the election of Barack Obama is a an eye-opener to say the least. I know that in the church, evangelicals have beat the drum loudly about abortion and same-sex marriage and the like, with the neglecting (in some eyes) of the "weightier" needs of society at large, like hunger, homelessness, global warmimg (a myth, by the way) and so forth...I know that for me, life is the dominant issue and where a candidate stands on that issue will determine whther or not I will vote for him...my reasonings are simple...God says that, "He hates hands that shed innocent blood" in Proverbs 6:17 and that is good enough for me...however,know also that king Manassah literally sacrificed the children of Israel to the god molech and for that, God would not forgive the nation of Israel...judgment is coming on nations that shed innocent blood...until this problem is fixed, there is no hope that the others can be fixed for this is the foundational issue...many new evangelicals (meaning younger) voted for Obama in record numbers in spite of the fact that he will more than likely go down as one of the most abortion-minded presidents ever...I must admit that I am at a loss to explain this and even after exchanging ideas with some, I still don't seem to get it (but neither do they it would seem!)
Anyway...I certainly pray for our nation in this great time of peril...I hope you will join me...
