How the Supreme Court nominee manipulated the statement of a medical organization to protect partial-birth abortion.

When President Obama promised in his inaugural address to “restore science to its rightful place,” he never explained what that rightful place would be. Documents recently released in connection with the Supreme Court nomination of Solicitor General Elena Kagan suggest an answer: wherever it can best be used to skew political debate and judicial outcomes.
The documents involved date from the Clinton White House. They show Miss Kagan’s willingness to manipulate medical science to fit the Democratic party’s political agenda on the hot-button issue of abortion. As such, they reflect poorly on both the author and the president who nominated her to the Supreme Court.
There is no better example of this distortion of science than the language the United States Supreme Court cited in striking down Nebraska’s ban on partial-birth abortion in 2000. This language purported to come from a “select panel” of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), a supposedly nonpartisan physicians’ group. ACOG declared that the partial-birth-abortion procedure “may be the best or most appropriate procedure in a particular circumstance to save the life or preserve the health of a woman.” The Court relied on the ACOG statement as a key example of medical opinion supporting the abortion method.
Years later, when President Bush signed a federal partial-birth-abortion ban (something President Clinton had vetoed), the ACOG official policy statement was front and center in the attack on the legislation. U.S. District Court Judge Richard Kopf, one of the three federal judges that issued orders enjoining the federal ban (later overturned by the Supreme Court), devoted more than 15 pages of his lengthy opinion to ACOG’s policy statement and the integrity of the process that led to it.
Like the Supreme Court majority in the prior dispute over the Nebraska ban, Judge Kopf asserted that the ACOG policy statement was entitled to judicial deference because it was the result of an inscrutable collaborative process among expert medical professionals. “Before and during the task force meeting,” he concluded, “neither ACOG nor the task force members conversed with other individuals or organizations, including congressmen and doctors who provided congressional testimony, concerning the topics addressed” in the ACOG statement.
In other words, what medical science has pronounced, let no court dare question. The problem is that the critical language of the ACOG statement was not drafted by scientists and doctors. Rather, it was inserted into ACOG’s policy statement at the suggestion of then–Clinton White House policy adviser Elena Kagan.
The task force’s initial draft statement did not include the statement that the controversial abortion procedure “might be” the best method “in a particular circumstance.” Instead, it said that the select ACOG panel “could identify no circumstances under which this procedure . . . would be the only option to save the life or preserve the health of the woman.”
Notwithstanding its allegedly apolitical nature, ACOG shared this draft statement with the Clinton White House. Miss Kagan, then a deputy assistant to the president for domestic policy, already knew ACOG’s stance as a result of a July 1996 meeting at the White House, at which ACOG representatives told administration officials — according to a Kagan memorandum [PDF] — that “in the vast majority of cases, selection of the partial birth procedure is not necessary to avert serious adverse consequences to a woman’s health.”
Upon receiving the task force’s draft statement, Kagan noted in another internal memorandum [PDF] that the draft ACOG formulation “would be a disaster — not the less so (in fact, the more so) because ACOG continues to oppose the legislation.” Any expression of doubt by a leading medical body about the efficacy of the procedure would severely undermine the case against the ban
So Kagan set about solving the problem. Her notes, produced by the White House to the Senate Judiciary Committee, show that she herself drafted the critical language hedging ACOG’s position. On a document [PDF] captioned “Suggested Options” — which she apparently faxed to the legislative director at ACOG — Kagan proposed that ACOG include the following language: “An intact D&X [the medical term for the procedure], however, may be the best or most appropriate procedure in a particular circumstance to save the life or preserve the health of a woman.”
Kagan’s language was copied verbatim by the ACOG executive board into its final statement, where it then became one of the greatest evidentiary hurdles faced by Justice Department lawyers (of whom I was one) in defending the federal ban. (Kagan’s role was never disclosed to the courts.) The judicial battles that followed led to two Supreme Court opinions, several trials, and countless felled trees. Now we learn that language purporting to be the judgment of an independent body of medical experts devoted to the care and treatment of pregnant women and their children was, in the end, nothing more than the political scrawling of a White House appointee.
Miss Kagan’s decision to override a scientific finding with her own calculated distortion in order to protect access to the most despicable of abortion procedures seriously twisted the judicial process. One must question whether her nomination to the Court would have the same effect.

Random Thoughts...

In recent days, some interesting things have captured may attention...

1) In a recent dialogue between David Horoitiz (SP) and a Muslim student representing the Muslim Student Association at the University of California at San Deigo, Mr. Horoitiz stated to the female student that the leader of Hamas has stated that he hoped all the Jews would re-gather in Israel so that he would not have to hunt them down...he then asked her if she was for it or against it...she replied that she was for it...Can you imagine the uproar in the "Mainstream Media" if someone said that we need to kill all the Muslims! The radical are among us in this "peaceful religion" and they will not stop until they rule...and folks when that happens, life as we know it will never be the same (should the Lord Jesus tarry!)

2) In recent testimony before Congress, Attorney General Holder has stated that, even though he has criticized the law passed and signed by the Governor of Arizona, he has NOT READ THE LAW! Isn't that crazy? Of course this monstrosity of a Bill was all of 10 pages (Compared to the 2,000 plus pages of the Health Care legislation that No One in Congress read before they voted for it!) and I can understand that that may be a little taxing on the Attorney General or his staff to read before espousing an opinion about it...
Following that...the Secretary of Homeland Security (and former Governor of Arizona) Janet Napolitano also admitted that she too had not read the bill, but she said that I would not have signed, "That kind of Bill"
Are we being governed by incompetence or corruption? You be the judge...

3) In recent months there has arisen a contraversey within SouthernBaptist circles...let me see if I can summarize what this is really all about:
Many "mega" churches within our convention give very little percentage wise to the distinctive "Cooperative Program" (to be referred to hence forth as the CP) and yet their pastors are in the "limelight" and are often picked to lead the convention, even though the smaller churches within the convention give a larger percentage of gifts to the CP...to their credit, many of the Mega churches, and maybe even all of them, give to many individual projects for Mission work...Last year at the SBC Convemtion, a committee was formed called the "Great Commission Resurgence Task Force" who have come out with a plan that would, in effect, destroy the CP as we know it...here is my concern...We are discussing how we give to mission work rather than calling on churches to be in revival! Our nation is going to you-know-where in a hand-basket and we want to talk about restructering our giving...We are a nation where Christianity is being pushed, and not to politly, out of the public square...where babies are being killed at a rate of close to or over a million per year and the recent Health Care legislation now calls for federal money to be used to pay for it...we have people protesting in the streets for rights when they have come here illegally in the first place...we have students who have been sent home all because they dared to wear an American Flag T-shirt on Cinco Demayo day! A day that has absoultely nothing to do with this country...the reason this is going on, and the reason that we as a nation have elected leaders who are socialist who are leading us down a path to governemnt controlled everything is because THE CHURCH HAS FAILED IN HER MISSION! We in the church are too busy arguing over what kind of music is played, what color the carpet is, what kind of chairs sit on the platform, whether the pastor is being paid too much money, whether or not the pastor should actually be leading the church...when we shoudl be about the Father's Business of sharing the good news...and yes! We need GOOD NEWS! The Good News that Jesus Saves!

It’s amazing to watch the civil libertarians hide when Democrats propose the most sweeping intrusions of privacy in generations. In addition to the litany of bad policies contained in the Dodd Financial Reform bill is this nugget on pages 1039-1040. In short, it extends government reach to every deposit account of every citizen.
Required Acct MonitoringSubtitle G of the Dodd discussion draft bill requires that records be maintained and reported “for each branch, automated teller machine at which deposits are accepted, and other deposit taking service facility with respect to any financial institution, the financial institution shall maintain a record of the number and dollar amounts of deposit accounts of customers.”
What’s worse, banks will be required to submit these records to the new super regulatory agency called the Consumer Financial Protection Agency (page 1041). The CFPA will be allowed to use this information for any purpose “as permitted by law” under CFPA rules—rules set by CFPA themselves.
So, lets get this straight—the law requires banks to snoop on its customers MOST PERSONAL INFORMATION and submit it to another government agency so it can be used anyway the CFPA see’s fit.
Must submit to CFPASo, if the CFPA Czar see’s fit, information about your deposit account activity could be shared with the IRS, immigration officials, state officials, or any other entity that the Administration and their various Czar’s think beneficial.
But CFPA will impact your life even before they give away your personal data. Remember that part of the excuse for including this authority is to make policy recommendations. So, be careful not to run your credit limit too high above the amount of money you are depositing in the bank or the CFPA will know you can’t pay your bills and make the appropriate “policy recommendations”.
This is exactly why conservatives have fought so hard against things like national ID cards—if the government is authorized to collect and utilize data, there is no way to prevent the government as a whole or certain individuals within the government from using the information against the citizens.
But passage of the CFPA will settle the whole ID card thing once and for all. There will be no need for them because if you have a bank account, you already have a number and the CFPA will have it.
The breadth of sweeping new powers given to the federal government by these three pages is astonishing. Yet we have heard nary a peep about this provision.
After capitulation and surrender, Republicans will have a chance to amend the legislation when it comes to the floor of the Senate and protect the private details of your banking account.
But if they don’t, smile the next time you go to the ATM because Big Brother will be watching.

Raising Arizona

Good afternoon...

Well the folks who are considered left of center are in an uproar over the "illegal Immigration" bill recently passed and signed in Arizona...Several thoughts come to mind:
1) Had the Federal government done its job and fulfilled its responsibilities as per the Constitution, then Arizona would not have had to resort to passing their own legislation to protect their citizens from the criminal element that comes across the border like others cross the street...
2) Last year when the Democrats held their "Townhall Meetings" covering health care, they made people who showed up "prove that they lived within the district"...show us your papers!
3)When the Health Care legislation was passed by Congress and signed by the President, the Democrasts said, "Its the law...it has been passed and signed, so shut up and live with it"

Please understand, I am not against immigration, afterall, we are a nation made up of immigrants...but LEGAL immigrants...we are a nation of laws and people who come here need to respect the immigration laws...if they don't respect the immigration laws, why would they respect any other laws? Millions of peopel have immigrated the RIGHT way...why should we reward those who have not?

"I have this theory about Barack Obama. I think he's led a kind of make-believe life in which money was provided and doors were opened because at some point early on somebody or some group took a look at this tall, good looking, half-white, half-black, young man with an exotic African/Muslim name and concluded he could be guided toward a life in politics where his facile speaking skills could even put him in the White House.
In a very real way, he has been a young man in a very big hurry. Who else do you know has written two memoirs before the age of 45? "Dreams of My Father" was published in 1995 when he was only 34 years old. The "Audacity of Hope" followed in 2006. If, indeed, he did write them himself. There are some who think that his mentor and friend, Bill Ayers, a man who calls himself a "communist with a small 'c'" was the real author.
His political skills consisted of rarely voting on anything that might be deemed controversial. He went from a legislator in the Illinois legislature to the Senator from that state because he had the good fortune of having Mayor Daley's formidable political machine at his disposal.
He was in the U.S. Senate so briefly that his bid for the presidency was either an act of astonishing self-confidence or part of some greater game plan that had been determined before he first stepped foot in the Capital. How, many must wonder, was he selected to be a 2004 keynote speaker at the Democrat convention that nominated John Kerry when virtually no one had ever even heard of him before?
He outmaneuvered Hillary Clinton in primaries. He took Iowa by storm. A charming young man, an anomaly in the state with a very small black population, he oozed "cool" in a place where agriculture was the antithesis of cool. He dazzled the locals. And he had an army of volunteers drawn to a charisma that hid any real substance.
And then he had the great good fortune of having the Republicans select one of the most inept candidates for the presidency since Bob Dole. And then John McCain did something crazy. He picked Sarah Palin, an unknown female governor from the very distant state of Alaska . It was a ticket that was reminiscent of 1984's Walter Mondale and Geraldine Ferraro and they went down to defeat.
The mainstream political media fell in love with him. It was a schoolgirl crush with febrile commentators like Chris Mathews swooning then and now over the man. The venom directed against McCain and, in particular, Palin, was extraordinary.
Now, nearly a full year into his first term, all of those gilded years leading up to the White House have left him unprepared to be President. Left to his own instincts, he has a talent for saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. It swiftly became a joke that he could not deliver even the briefest of statements without the ever-present Tele-Prompters.
Far worse, however, is his capacity to want to "wish away" some terrible realities, not the least of which is the Islamist intention to destroy America and enslave the West. Any student of history knows how swiftly Islam initially spread. It knocked on the doors of Europe, having gained a foothold in Spain .
The great crowds that greeted him at home or on his campaign "world tour" were no substitute for having even the slightest grasp of history and the reality of a world filled with really bad people with really bad intentions.
Oddly and perhaps even inevitably, his political experience, a cakewalk, has positioned him to destroy the Democrat Party's hold on power in Congress because in the end it was never about the Party. It was always about his communist ideology, learned at an early age from family, mentors, college professors, and extreme leftist friends and colleagues.
Obama is a man who could deliver a snap judgment about a Boston police officer who arrested an "obstreperous" Harvard professor-friend, but would warn Americans against "jumping to conclusions" about a mass murderer at Fort Hood who shouted "Allahu Akbar." The absurdity of that was lost on no one. He has since compounded this by calling the Christmas bomber "an isolated extremist" only to have to admit a day or two later that he was part of an al Qaeda plot.
He is a man who could strive to close down our detention facility at Guantanamo even though those released were known to have returned to the battlefield against America . He could even instruct his Attorney General to afford the perpetrator of 9/11 a civil trial when no one else would ever even consider such an obscenity. And he is a man who could wait three days before having anything to say about the perpetrator of yet another terrorist attack on Americans and then have to elaborate on his remarks the following day because his first statement was so lame.
The pattern repeats itself. He either blames any problem on the Bush administration or he naively seeks to wish away the truth.
Knock, knock. Anyone home? Anyone there? Barack Obama exists only as the sock puppet of his handlers, of the people who have maneuvered and manufactured this pathetic individual's life.
When anyone else would quickly and easily produce a birth certificate, this man has spent over a million dollars to deny access to his. Most other documents, the paper trail we all leave in our wake, have been sequestered from review. He has lived a make-believe life whose true facts remain hidden.
We laugh at the ventriloquist's dummy, but what do you do when the dummy is President of the United States of America ?"

DC Knows that Obama is Ineligible for Office

Members from all three branches of the Federal government already know that Barack Hussein Obama is ineligible for the office of President. National leaders, to include members of the US Supreme Court, already know that Barack Hussein Obama is not a “natural born citizen” of the United States of America, and therefore, is ineligible for the office he currently holds. What they don’t know is how long it will take for most Americans to figure it out, or what to do about it.
The diversionary search for an authentic birth certificate is ongoing and Obama has now spent in excess of $2 million in legal fees to keep that search alive.
Eric Holder’s Department of Justice continues to deploy taxpayer funded attorneys around the country to file dismissals on behalf of Obama, denying all American citizens access to the courts as a peaceful remedy, which only fuels the fire of discontent and the questions about Obama persist.
Michelle Obama states that Kenya is Barack’s “home country.” She knows, after twenty years with Barack. The Ambassador or Kenya has confirmed the same His family friends all know it, and are in fact quite proud of the fact that Americans had no hesitation in electing a “black man from Kenya” as President of the United States.
The US Supreme Court knows what the constitutional condition of “natural born citizen” means. Even the most far left member of that court, Justice Ginsberg, is on record proclaiming that a “natural born citizen” is a birth child of TWO legal US citizens.
Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi knows that Barack Hussein Obama is not eligible for the office of president, which is why she refused to certify the following language when certifying Obama as the DNC candidate for president in 2008.
This is the normal language for certification of nomination for president and vice president, filed by the DNC only in the state of Hawaii…
This is the language filed by the DNC in the other 49 states, however…
Note that the language which certifies that Barack Hussein Obama meets all constitutional qualifications is missing in the DNC documents filed in 49 of the 50 states. The certification of constitutional qualification for the office of president was filed only in Hawaii. That text is missing in the DNC certification filings for all other states.
Whereas the RNC filed the exact same certification document, including the constitutional text for John McCain in all 50 states, Obama was technically certified in only one state, Hawaii. A mere inconvenient technicality, I’m sure…
The US Congress knows that Barack Hussein Obama is not constitutionally qualified for the office he holds. Although the congress passed a resolution proclaiming Senator John McCain a “natural born citizen” as the son of two US citizens, no such congressional resolution exists for Barack Hussein Obama.
The press knows that Obama is not a “natural born citizen,” having written on several occasions about the “Kenyan born” senator from Chicago. A number of citizens have already been arrested and jailed for asking these questions.
Over four-hundred law suits have been filed across the country asking the courts to force Obama to become the “transparent president” he promised to be, and all four-hundred are being dismissed before discovery, all on the basis that “no citizen has proper legal standing” to ask who and what their president really is…
Over a half-million citizens have now signed a petition demanding to see Obama’s birth records.
Numerous members of the US Military have refused deployment orders from Obama, on the basis that he refuses to evidence his constitutional qualifications to issue such orders. In most cases, the soldiers have simply been reassigned, so as to avoid any disciplinary action that could end in “defense discovery” which might finally force Obama to open up his files once and for all.
Now an eighteen year veteran flight surgeon and active Lt. Colonel faces court martial as he makes his demands for proof that Obama is constitutionally eligible to issue orders as Commander-in-Chief.

No matter who asks, how they ask or where they ask, not one single individual in Washington DC or even state government seems willing to weigh in on the most important issue of our era. Who and what is the man sitting in the people’s White House?
How in the hell did we get an overtly anti-American resident of the people’s White House without so much as a simple birth certificate to prove who this person really is?
And why won’t a single elected representative of the people engage in the effort to force an answer to this question?
The answers to these and many more questions are likely very simple and equally chilling…

A press that knew he was the “first Kenyan born senator” didn’t forget that he was Kenyan born when he decided to run for president.
Most importantly, the people DO have a right (read - proper standing) to ask who and what their president really is, in any court, any time. And soldiers are court-martialed for refusing orders, unless those orders were issued by an illegitimate Commander-in-Chief.
DC knows what most Americans have yet to figure out…
Obama is NOT a natural born citizen no matter where he might have been born. Obama’s birth father was at no time an American citizen and on this basis alone, Obama cannot be a constitutionally qualified resident of the White House.
They know something else that the American people have yet to figure out…
The US Constitution no longer stands as the governing law of this land. Obama’s many unconstitutional policies, Czars, executive orders and statements provide the proof, and the fact that nobody in DC cares whether or not Obama is constitutionally qualified to be president of the United States should send a shiver down the spine of every red blooded American citizen, no matter their partisan agendas.
The people willing to ask the tough questions are deemed crackpots and conspiracy theorists, racists or bigots. But those tough questions should be obvious questions to all Americans and every president should have to answer those questions, no matter race, creed, color or party affiliation.
I fear that those questions will only be answered at the tip of pitch forks and torches one day. Sooner or later, the people will run out of patience with a system built to exclude them. When that day comes, I fear what methods will be employed and whether or not there will be a country left to save by then.
But sooner or later, one way or another, Obama will have to answer those questions. One day, the world will know who and what this man is and there will be a day of reckoning like no other in American history.The longer it takes for that day to arrive, the more dangerous the situation will become. A man not even qualified to hold the office is using that office to destroy the greatest nation on earth. How much patience can the people be expected to display?
Obama is not eligible for the office he currently holds and everyone in a position to know - already know.
What they don’t know is how much longer they can keep it all a secret, or what will happen next.

Good evening...

In recent days, our Federal Government has, in the opinion of some, over-reached in its policies and the laws that have been enacted...the question of individual freedom is paramount...I speak specifically of the Government take-over of the automobile industry, the banking industry, and now with the Health Care legislation...I guess you could probably discern where I would come down on this issue...I believe that the Government has stepped far beyond what is Constitutional...How in the world can the Federal Government require me to purchase Health Insurance? Now, I do happen to have HC Insurance, but if I chose not to have HC, then that is really not Uncle Sam's business...I know, I know, someone has to pay when people go to the hospital ER...yes, but this is a state issue! certainly there is some federal money which makes its way to the local hospitals, however, this is a state issue...Secondly, many will say, "the govt. makes us buy automobile insurance"...BAD ARGUMENT! I don't have to drive; people in New York City, for the most part, don't even have cars!

Mark Blitz

Good morning...

In a previous post, I mentioned mark Blitz, founder of El Shaddai Ministries and made the comment that he was Jewish or a Messianic Jew...someone wrote in response that he was not Jewish, that all I had to do was to check his website...so I did! Whereas Mark Blitz's father was raised Catholic, He most assuredly has Jewish roots:


Bernard married Rose Rachel Levi and had a boy named Jacob Biltz born June 30th 1820 in the town of
Badenviller. Jacob married Janette Simon and had a son named Georges Julian Biltz born in 1843 in Paris.
Aug 22nd 1882.
Georges decided he would rather be rich and ran off to America with another lady who was Catholic, named Octavia Augustine Danjou. They had my grandpa, Sylvan Biltz, as well as other children. Georges then said, “Forget this I’m going back to Europe and live with my son over there.” Most of the Biltz family in Europe lost everything in World War II. (Jean) Andre was a Lieutenant Colonel in the French Air Force
and his wife died in Auschwitz. Over here, Sylvan, my grandpa was raised Catholic and raised my father, Harry Biltz as a Catholic.

Raised in Wichita, Kansas as a Roman Catholic, he had a change in his spiritual pursuits when attending Kansas Newman College in Wichita in 1975 at the age of 19. A childhood friend gave him a better understanding of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that changed his life. He left the Roman Catholic Church at that time and
joined a youth organization called the Agape Force. Attending the discipleship-training institute he was able to focus full time for a couple of years strictly on the Bible and full time street evangelism. His teachers were Leonard Ravenhill, David Wilkerson, Winkie Pratney, amongst others. Returning to Kansas, Mark went to a local bible college at the congregation he was attending. Here he met his wife Vicki, who also attended the Bible College. They have been married since 1977 and have 2 sons. It was at that time Mark taught several courses in the Bible College. One of the focuses was on Hebrew Roots and the Feast Days of Israel.
Moving to Washington State in 1987 he was an associate to his former Pastor. Mark later moved on to another local congregation where he was an elder/administrator/teacher for South King County Bible College. After a new pastor took over his responsibilities he felt a real need to refocus on Hebrew Roots and to get back to an original understanding of the context and culture in order to have a correct understanding of the Bible. His wife Vicki bought him a book by a Jewish Rabbi named Moshe Braun called The Jewish Holy Days - Their Spiritual Significance. The depth of the material made him realize that Christians were missing so much by seeing them-selves as cut off from the Jewish mindset and culture.
Fueled now by his passion for studies of literature written from a Jewish mindset he was humbled by the grace, wisdom and insight that poured forth. Realizing the Jews loved the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob he saw that they had been studying and mining the Tanakh for millennia looking for nuggets. Along with a handful of faithful believers, El Shaddai Ministries began 7 years ago to educate Christians from all different denominations on how anti-Semitism and replacement theology has crippled our understanding of God and the covenants He has made with His people – the Jews.

I understand that the President has been "amused" in recent days by Tea Party demonstrators... He even had the audacity to proclaim that the Tea Partiers should THANK HIM! Wow! You want Thanks Mr. President? Well here we go:

Before I begin, please let me be very clear: I have never been to a Tea Party rally and I don't even know anyone who has...now on to the thanks for the President!

Thank you Mr. President for increasing the indebtedness of our country into the trillions of dollars...Thank you Mr. President for passing a Health Care Bill through the Congress, no make that, Ramming through, down our throats, a Health Care Bill that MANDATES that EVERYONE in this Country receive an implanted RFID chip under their skin. This is purported to contain medical information, but I imagine that there will be much more involved with that...Thank you Mr. President for all the taxes that are contained within this bill that will go a long way towards destroying the middle class...Thank You Mr. President for including the Abortion language within the bill so that even more babies will be murdered...THANK YOU Mr. President! I gues 1.5 million babies a year is not enough for him!

Next on the agenda for our benevolent leader is the "Cap & Trade (Tax) Bill"...get ready folks for outrageous electricity bills, gasoline so high that people won't be able to drive their cars anymore...in places with mass transportation like Chicago, New York, D.C., even Atlanta, they can take the train to and from work, but for those who live in rural America or cities like Columbus, that will not happen...All because they actually believe that we can destroy the planet! In other posts, I have detailed how the Bible shows that global warming is nonsense, but please note Genesis 8:22, "While the earth remains,Seedtime and harvest,Cold and heat,Winter and summer,And day and night Shall not cease." In other words, God will determine when the times and seasons will end...certainly not man...

In my last post, my excitement over the election of Scott Brown to slow down the socialist agenda was premature...as I am writing this blog, the U.S. House of Representatives is preparing to vote on the bill passed by the U.S. Senate to establish a monsterous health care bill as the law of the land...I am so disheartened to hear the continued remarks from men and women who actually believe that this bill will help people...Now, to be fair, there are some good intentions...such as eliminating the "pre-existing conditions" and so forth, but it will tax people beyond anything more than we can imagine...It will MANDATE that people buy insurance! Where in the world do these arrogant people get the idea that in America, they have the right to make this kind of mandate as a condition to be an American citizen? This is an outrage! Americans from all stripes should rise up and demand that this bill be stopped...This bill will also increase the amount of abortions in this country and this will result in the continued wrath of Almighty God upon this land! The blood of the innocents has been shed legally since 1973 and short of a MASSIVE MOVE Of REPENTANCE from God's people...there is no hope...Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand!

I am watching the Fox News Channel and they have just reported that they AP is projecting that Scott Brown has WON the special election in MA to replace the former Senator, Ted Kennedy, who passed away from brain cancer...It is amazing that the most liberal senator over the last 40 years in the United States Senate has now had the seat that he occupied voted into the hands of a Republican...who would have thought that this could happen...Now what does this mean? It means that the very troubling health care bill might now be dead...and thank goodness because this bill will destroy what is left of the middle class in this country...This means that the agenda of the most liberal president since FDR will be forced to slow down...

Week by week, New York magazine offers insight into the culture and consciousness of the nation's trendy population in Manhattan. This magazine, combined with The New York Times, The New York Review of Books, and The New Yorker, provides constant insight into the thinking of the New York elites. The magazine recently featured a major article on abortion, and it just might be the most important article on this issue in recent history.
In "The Abortion Distortion -- Just How Pro-choice is America, Really?," writer Jennifer Senior offers an incredibly insightful and important essay on the moral status of abortion in the American mind. Senior is clearly writing to a New York readership -- expected to be overwhelmingly pro-choice and settled in a posture of abortion advocacy. Given the passage of the so-called "Stupak amendment" to the health-care reform bill adopted by the House of Representatives, many in the pro-choice movement responded with amazement that a pro-life minority has been able to muster such support. Jennifer Senior posed the most awkward question for her readers: Is America really pro-choice?

Consider this:
According to a Gallup poll from July, 60 percent of Americans think abortion should be either illegal or “legal only in a few circumstances.” Only seventeen states pay for the procedure for poor women beyond the standards of the 1977 Hyde Amendment—meaning if the woman’s life is in danger or she’s been the victim of rape or incest. Just two months before the health-care bill’s passage in the House, a Rasmussen poll found that 48 percent of the public didn’t want abortion covered in any government-subsidized health plan, while just 13 percent did. (Thirty-two percent believed in a “neutral” approach—though what on Earth that means is hard to say.)
As a matter of fact, Senior went all the way back to 1973 in order to document her assessment that America was never as pro-choice as many liberals had assumed. The legal impact of Roe v. Wade could not overcome the fact that, as Jeffrey Rosen of George Washington University noted, the decision "was one of the few Supreme Court decisions that was out of step with mainstream public opinion."
Senior suggests that America is "a very ambivalent pro-choice nation." She acknowledges the numerical data that indicates an increasing pro-life direction for the American people and, speaking to a pro-choice readership, laments that "it sometimes gets lost how truly numerically challenged we are."
So, just how did the Stupak amendment pass?
The idea that a bunch of pro-life rogue wingnuts have hijacked the agenda and thwarted the national will is a convenient, but fanciful, belief. Even with an 81-person margin in the House, and even with a passionately committed female, pro-choice Speaker, it was the Democrats who managed to pass a bill that, arguably, would restrict access to abortion more aggressively than any state measure or legal case since the Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade.
Along the way, Jennifer Senior makes some fascinating observations. In terms of the motivation to be engaged in the issue of abortion, she quotes Harrison Hickman, a former NARAL pollster, as saying: "If you believe that choosing the wrong side of the issue means spending eternal life in Hades, of course you're going to be more focused on it." That is a very powerful affirmation of the fact that one's worldview really does matter.
She also understands the great generational shift taking place on the issue. She recognizes that the current generation of younger voters "is the most pro-life to come along since the generation born during the Great Depression." Why? This same generation is the first to grow up with ultrasound images taped to the refrigerator door. Their understanding of the fetus is dramatically different from those who never had to face those images. Furthermore, Senior also raises the fascinating insight that the big technological advance experienced by this generation was IVF -- a technology that allowed having babies rather than not having them. This generation understands the issue in terms of infant human life. They do not see a mere fetus. They recognize a baby. Nancy Keenan of NARAL is cited as saying that the biggest defenders of abortion are now a "menopausal militia."
Senior also deals with the troubled moral conscience of the pro-choice movement and abortion providers with remarkable candor. She reports that abortion counselors "will also tell you that the stigma attached to the procedure is worse than it's been in years." She cites Charlotte Taft, operator of a Dallas abortion clinic, who acknowledged to a reporter that women know "abortion is a kind of killing." Jeannie Ludlow is cited for her uncomfortable experience in seeing repeat-abortion patients. The horror and reality of late-term abortions is documented -- even as the continued "right" to such procedures is advocated.
By any measure, Jennifer Senior has written one of the most honest, revealing, insightful, and important articles on abortion to appear in recent history. At the same time, it is one of the most troubling. Once again, we are reminded that the American conscience is not settled on the issue of abortion. We should be thankful that recent events and cultural developments -- aided and abetted by technology -- have made a real difference, helping and forcing Americans to understand that abortion is the killing of a human life.
In a very real sense, we should be thankful that the American conscience remains unsettled on this issue. A good and honest conversation about the reality of abortion is one of the best means of serving the cause of life. Jennifer Senior's honest article can serve as an incredibly potent catalyst for such a conversation.

Hate Crimes

The President has made good on one of his campaign promises to the Homosexual lobby by his signing of the Hate Crimes legislation. The following article from Dr. Albert Mohler, President of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, says it quite well:

As Sen. John McCain recently remarked, "elections have consequences." President Barack Obama signed the "Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act" into law on Thursday, fulfilling a campaign promise and handing the gay rights community one of its most sought-after achievements.
The bill, named for two men killed in vicious attacks, extends the definition of federal hates crimes to include attacks "based on a person's race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or mental or physical disability."
Referring to Matthew Shepherd and James Byrd, the President said:
It's hard for any of us to imagine the mind-set of someone who would kidnap a young man and beat him to within an inch of his life, tie him to a fence, and leave him for dead. It's hard for any of us to imagine the twisted mentality of those who'd offer a neighbor a ride home, attack him, chain him to the back of a truck, and drag him for miles until he finally died.
Those words are eloquent in exposing the deep evil that resides in far too many human hearts. If anything, the President spoke too cautiously. It is not only "hard" for any morally sane person to imagine the mentality behind these attacks, it is and must be impossible. Such crimes of violence against any human being should and must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. But defining these crimes as "hate crimes" shifts the legal issue from the criminally violent act itself to the thoughts and intentions of the criminal. This is a dangerous and unnecessary step, for the very idea of a hate crime requires the government to play the role of psychiatrist and also requires a list of those who deserve special protections. How can government stop the extension of that list? If criminalizing hate is legally justifiable, should not every citizen be granted these same protections?
Even more ominously, the logic of hate crime laws inevitably leads to the idea of laws against what is defined as "hate speech." It is not fair to suggest that this specific legislation includes a hate speech provision. It is fair, however, to sound the alarm that very important rights involving the freedom to speak openly against homosexuality, for example, are now at far greater risk.
There was no surprise in the fact that President Obama signed the bill. The shock came, not in the fact that he signed it, but in what the President said in his comments. "This is the culmination of a struggle that has lasted more than a decade. Time and again, we faced opposition," said the President. "Time and again, the measure was defeated or delayed. Time and again we've been reminded of the difficulty of building a nation in which we're all free to live and love as we see fit."
Does President Obama actually mean what he said here? Does he really call for a society "in which we're all free to live and love as we see fit?" The hate crimes bill he signed into law covers gender, gender identity, and sexual orientation. The courts will have to sort out all that is covered in those categories.
But the "free to live and love as we see fit" language was set in a context larger than the hate crimes bill. President Obama is an intellectually serious man. He knows that words matter. When he speaks of all citizens being "free to live and love as we see fit" he opens the door far beyond the categories of heterosexual, homosexual, and bisexual. Does he mean to include polygamists in this vision? The "polyamorous?" Incest? The catalogue of sexual interests claimed by some as "loves" goes far beyond these.
We are living in an age increasingly marked by what Sigmund Freud called "polymorphous perversity." I do not believe that President Obama meant to include any and all sexual interests and lifestyles under his blanket category of living and loving "as we see fit." But words really do matter, and this President now bears responsibility for signing a dangerous bill into law and then for compounding that act by using language that was self-congratulatory, dishonest, and dangerous.
In another sense, the President's language was revealing. The logic that leads to the celebration of gay, lesbian, and bisexual relationships cannot stop with those sexual categories. In an age that elevates "consent" as the only meaningful moral and legal issue, any effort to refuse similar recognition to any consensual sexual relationship, lifestyle, or practice is doomed to eventual failure. It is all just a matter of time.
Yes, Sen. McCain, elections have consequences. But words have consequences, too, President Obama. Do you really want to live with the consequences of your words spoken on Thursday?

Good afternoon...all around these parts the talk of Obama and his birth location have been all the rage...probably because two separate lawsuits have been brought right here in good 'ole Columbus, Georgia that U.S. District Court Judge Clay Land has dismissed out of hand and even fined the attorney bringing the case $20,000.00 for filing a frivolous case...I am not opposed to a judge tossing out cases, but he proceeded to insult the attorney and even denied her the right to call witnesses to defend her actions which brought about the fine...so he dismissed the cases, fined the attorney and then denied due process rights...and I thought we lived in America...anyway, the following article just might give her a little more credibility as you will see that the AP has reported that Barack Obama was actually born in...are you ready for this...KENYA!

What most people know is that the Associated Press (AP) is one of the largest, internationally recognized, syndicated news services. What most people don’t know that is in 2004, the AP was a “birther” news organization.

How so? Because in a syndicated report, published Sunday, June 27, 2004, by the Kenyan Standard Times, and which was, as of this report, available at

The AP reporter stated the following:

Kenyan-born US Senate hopeful, Barrack Obama, appeared set to take over the Illinois Senate seat after his main rival, Jack Ryan, dropped out of the race on Friday night amid a furor over lurid sex club allegations.

This report explains the context of the oft cited debate, between Obama and Keyes in the following Fall, in which Keyes faulted Obama for not being a “natural born citizen”, and in which Obama, by his quick retort, “So what? I am running for Illinois Senator, not the presidency”, self-admitted that he was not eligible for the office. Seeing that an AP reporter is too professional to submit a story which was not based on confirmed sources (ostensibly the Obama campaign in this case), the inference seems inescapable: Obama himself was putting out in 2004, that he was born in Kenya.

The difficulty in finding this gem of a story is hampered by Google, which is running flak for Obama: because if you search for “Kenyan-born US Senate” you wont find it, but if you search for the phrase without quotes you will find links which talk about it.

Readers should take note that this AP story, was syndicated world-wide, so you should be able to find it in major newspapers, archived in libraries world-wide. A Chronology of Deceit

One can now ask an important question which has not yet been emphasized enough: “Just when did Obama begin to publically claim he was born in Hawaii?” This question is distinct from the question, “Just where in fact was Obama born?”, and from the other question, “What do official documents say about where he was born?”

Regarding his claims, we can summarize what is known:

1. As of Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, Obama’s Campaign was putting out that he was born in Hawaii. This is known from the introductory speech given by Prof. George A. O. Magoha, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nairobi, on the occasion of a speech given there by Senator Obama that day. (One presumes that the Vice-Chancellor was given notes from the Obama campaign, as is customary on such occasions)

2. From the newspaper reports above, it is clear that the Obama campaign was putting out that he was born in Kenya, or overseas, during the period of June 27, 2004, until January 8, 2006.

3. In October of 2004, during the ABC Chicago Affiliate’s broadcast of the Obama-Keyes debates, Obama openly admitted — he conceded — that he was not a natural born citizen. (C-Span aired the uncut version of the debates, which contained this exchange, in the second half of April, 2005)

4. It is known from a classmate of Obama at Harvard University, that while at Harvard, Obama at least on one occasion admitted that he was born in Kenya. (This friend went on record on a call in radio program in Idaho in early July, 2009)

If any reader can find a link which documents a claim to a birth location before Aug. 28th, 2006, which differs from this timeline or which supports it; please let The Post & Email know of it, by posting it in the comment section below.

In a follow up report, The Post & Email has published a brief analysis of the Google Newspaper archive, which shows that Obama’s story changed after June 27, 2004.

The Nobel Peace Prize?

Good morning...it has been a while since I have posted anything...sometimes life just gets busy! Anyway, I was rather surprised, as were many of you, when it was announced last week that President Obama had been awarded the Peace Prize. I wondering what he could have done in such a short time in office to even be considered, much less win the Prize. I ran across the following article by Dr. David Reagan that says it pretty well:

Once again the Norwegian Noble Committee has surprised the world with its Peace Prize Award by granting it to President Barack Obama. Keep in mind this is the same group that gave the award to Al Gore in 2007 and Jimmy Carter in 2002.
What was Al Gore’s accomplishment? The production of a documentary film that propagandized the myth that global warming is due to carbon emissions. Big deal!
And Jimmy Carter? Well, the worst president of the 20th Century distinguished himself as a rabid anti-Semite, a vociferous America-basher, and a gushing tyrant-lover.
And then, of course, there was the worst Noble Peace Prize of all of them — the one awarded in 1994 to the world’s leading terrorist, Yassar Arafat, a modern-day Hitler. When that occurred, I lost all respect for the Noble Committee and their meaningless prize.
So, why would the Committee award President Obama the Peace Prize when he has been in office only nine months and has no notable accomplishments on the international scene? There are several reasons:
1) The President has engaged in America-bashing everywhere he has spoken in the world, as if this nation is the world’s greatest threat to peace, when, in actuality, we have always been the world’s best defender of freedom.
2) The President has denounced the “Lone Ranger” foreign policy mentality of the Bush Administration, a foreign policy that rightfully put this nation’s interests first and successfully protected us from terrorist attacks for seven years.
3) The President has praised the immoral values of European law and has expressed a esire to align our laws with those values.
4) The President has committed himself to instituting domestic reforms that would undermine Capitalism and produce a mirror-image of the failed Socialist economies of Europe.
5) The President has taken every opportunity to praise the ungodly and violent religion of Islam.
6) The President has made it clear that he is willing to abandon Israel for the sake of “peace” in the Middle East.
7) The President has indicated that he is willing to surrender American sovereignty to international organizations.
No wonder the world is enthralled with him and cheering him. No wonder the world desires to give him encouragement.
But his day of reckoning is coming. His terrible mis-management of our economy will catch up with him as unemployment continues to mount and the dollar continues its dive in value. Most important, he is going to suffer the wrath of God on the international scene due to his mis-treatment of Israel.
In short, we are headed for disaster on both the national and international scenes, so the President had better enjoy the world’s spotlight now before all the lights go out.

Random Thoughts...

Well, it has been a while since I last posted anything and during the ensuing time, a lot of things have happened that need some commentary...so here goes...

On September 1, my wife Sandy and I celebrated 25 years of marriage and it has been the best 25 years! Honey if you are reading this (and you should be reading my blogs everyday anyway as a spousal support kind of thing!) You are the GREATEST! I love you more today than ever before...You are simply amazing...

September 5, Two of my sons, Cameron & Collin, turned 18 and 16 respectively (yes, they were born on the same day two years apart!) I am so pleased at how they are maturing more and more each day...Cameron is really coming into his own and is acting more like a grown-up these days (after-all, he continues to tell everyone that he is an adult now!) Collin continues to excell in the atheletic world...he is currently playing soccer (or football everywhere else) and while I thought that this would be good conditioning for basketball season, he continues to show that he can do anything he wants in the realm of sports...

September 9, the President went to Congress to beef up support of his health care proposals...I won't be like Rep. Joe Wilson of South Carolina who blurted out, "YOU LIE", but I just don't believe that the President is being completely open about his agenda behind the plan...should Wilson apoligize? Sure, I believe that there should be a certain decorum within Congress when anyone is speaking, especially the POTUS...having said that, the more that anyone looks at the Health Care bills being proposed, the more one finds scary things in them...what you may ask, could be scary about a health care bill? For instance, the House bill requires that companies that do not have unionized workers must pay more money because of that...I watched Fox & Friends this morning and heard this being discussed...

September 11...A day to remember...not a "day of service" While this is a laudable goal (better to encourage this as an everyday thing) 9/11 is all about remembering what happen to over 3,000 of our fellow citizens and their families...certainly not a time to push agendas...while I am on the subject of agendas, I am really tired of hearing people in the Obama camp making statements that anyone who is against something that the President wants is a racist! I guess when there is no other argument to be made, trot out the race card to confuse the issue...how about we oppose the Presidents plans simply because he is a liberal democrat who wants to increase availabilty of abortion while spending tax dollars to do it; he wants to confiscate the health care industry like he has done with the auto industry (who ever heard of a President firing a CEO of a private company before?)...he wants to tax us into oblivion with the "Cap & Trade" legiislation, better known as "Cap & Tax"...the list goes on and on...when is enough enough?
I don't care what color the President is, what matters are his beliefs and what policies he pursues...if he pursues liberal policies then I am against him, if he pursues conservative policies, then I am for him...it really is that simple...
